Castroville is a small unincorporated community in Monterey County, widely known as the self-proclaimed Artichoke Capital of the World. With a population of roughly 6,600 to 7,000 people, the town has a close-knit, working-class character rooted in agriculture. Most of the land surrounding residential streets is active farmland, and the local economy runs on artichoke farming, row crops, and the packing and processing operations that support them. The housing stock is predominantly single-family homes built between the 1940s and 1970s, many of which have never been significantly updated. Homeowners here tend to be practical and value-conscious - they want contractors who know the area and deliver honest work without a lot of overhead.
Castroville sits just off Highway 1 and Highway 156, a few miles north of Seaside and Monterey. The coastal location means residents deal with marine fog, salt air, and the kind of persistent dampness that affects home maintenance in ways that are different from drier inland communities. Neighboring Prunedale to the north and Salinas to the east are both part of our regular service area, and Castroville homeowners who have family or property in either community can count on us to cover both without issue.
